Bio: Bulba Tumbo spent most of his early life aboard a great fishing vessel, The Saam Salba. He was born on the ship and did not set foot on solid ground until he was 4 years old. Bulba’s father was 1st mate on the Saam Salba, his mother was part of a secretive cult of gypsies that worshipped the sea.

Because he learned to walk on a ship, when Bulba finally did walk on solid ground he found he had trouble.  He did not care, for the Saam Salba was rarely at port and he only spent minimal time struggling to walk the land.

The Saam Salba was very large, and sometimes spent months at sea hauling fish with nets into the ship’s giant hold. Many sailors worked and lived on the Saam Salba. Some even had wives and children aboard. This helped pass the boredom of the sea when the fishing was scarce.

Another thing the sailors liked to do was wage wrestling matches. These were competitive, friendly matches between the sailors, even the young ones. Tournaments were held on board the ship, and bets were waged. Even some of the wives joined in, wrestling other wives or even the men.

Bulba was always big for his age, and hauling the nets made all the sailors strong and robust. Bulba lost his first few matches, but once he learned how to use his size and strength, he started to perform better. By the time he was 10 years old, he was the favored bet against any other wrestler on the Saam Salba younger than 18.When Bulba’s mother died, his father said he no longer had a taste for the sea. So Bulba and his father moved to the port city of Calimport. His father started a fish shop and sold the fish the Saam Salba brought in.

Bulba’s difficulties walking on land only increased as he grew into adolescence. He was always a large child, but after 7 he just sprouted like a bean-stalk. The boy grew a full 2ft in one year alone. This cause Bulba great pain and awkwardness. Buy the time he was 15 Bulba was easily 6ft tall. His growth kind of tapered off a bit, giving the youth a chance to get used to his own feet.

Bulba fell over a lot, his many bruises eventually minimized as his body became accustom to the falls. One thing Bulba realized though, was that his ability to wrestle was not hampered on land. Once he got hold of someone, he usually got the better of them, unless they resorted to weaponry.

He started wrestling in Calimport barrooms for quick money, more than he could make at his father’s fishery. This went on for a while and he became somewhat of a dark-horse in the gambling world. This young bow-legged youth taking on the towns best men. After a time Bulba actually started to get accustomed to walking on land. He was very friendly, and wealthy now, and he hadn’t hurt anyone seriously, so he had no real enemies.

When Bulba Tumbo was 18 his father felt the urge to return to the sea, but Bulba did not want to return to life aboard a ship. His father bought his own fishing boat and a crew and set sail.

Bulba stayed in Calimport another 3 years, soon becoming a popular figure on the wrestling circuit. He even wrestled wild animals on occasion; Buffalo mostly, but A lion once, and a kangaroo. But one day he heard of a larger wrestling tournament in the northern regions, so he left Calimport and set out into Faerun with dreams of fame and fortune.

He travels from town to town, entertaining and wrestling people or animals for as many spectators as he can muster. So if you hear the call of "Rumble Tumbo Tumble!"  then you are in for a show.

descriptions of class abilities:

AC Bonus (Ex): When unarmored and unencumbered, the Grappler adds her Wisdom bonus (if any) to her AC. In addition, a Grappler gains a +1 bonus to AC at 5th level. This bonus increases by 1 for every five Grappler levels thereafter (+2 at 10th, +3 at 15th, and +4 at 20th level).
These bonuses to AC apply even against touch attacks or when the monk is flat-footed. She loses these bonuses when she is immobilized or helpless, when she wears any armor, when she carries a shield, or when she carries a medium or heavy load.

Effective grapple (Ex): When unarmored, a Grappler does not take the standard -4 penalty to unarmed grappling attacks. As long as a Grappler continuously wins the opposing grapple check he may attack unarmed at his normal BaB (even on the ground), dealing 1d4+STR mod. This damage can be lethal or non-lethal at the Grappler’s discretion. (no penalty is incurred for lethal damage)
This damage stacks with the normal Unarmored damage bonus granted Grappler(see grappler Monk table.).

Unarmed Strike: At 1st level, a Grappler gains Improved Unarmed Strike as a bonus feat. A Grappler’s attacks may be with either fist interchangeably or even from elbows, knees, and feet. This means that a Grappler may even make unarmed strikes with her hands full. There is no such thing as an off-hand attack for a Grappler striking unarmed. A Grappler may thus apply her full Strength bonus on damage rolls for all her unarmed strikes.
Usually a Grappler’s unarmed strikes deal lethal damage, but she can choose to deal nonlethal damage instead with no penalty on her attack roll. She has the same choice to deal lethal or nonlethal damage while grappling.
A Grappler’s unarmed strike is treated both as a manufactured weapon and a natural weapon for the purpose of spells and effects that enhance or improve either manufactured weapons or natural weapons.
A Grappler also deals more damage with her unarmed strikes than a normal person would, as shown on Table: The Monk. The unarmed damage on Table: The Monk is for Medium monks. A Small monk deals less damage than the amount given there with her unarmed attacks, while a Large monk deals more damage; see Table: Small or Large Monk Unarmed Damage.
